Todd Porter And The Starstuff Holy Grail

So, the huge news! On the morning of December 1st, 2004, I received an email from Todd Porter, who played Chris on Starstuff.  I seriously wish somebody could've taken a picture of my face as I was reading the initial email, as I'm positive it was one for the archives.  Regardless, a quick email exchange turned over to a few phone calls.

The general scenario is this --

01) He says hello to all of us Starstuff fans!
02) He is extremely appreciative of this webpage and was possibly more surprised than any of us to actually see it.
03) He is still an actor, although I have no specific details yet on what he has been working on.
04) He still has all eighteen episodes of Starstuff on VHS and will be donating copies to me in thanks for this webpage.

He and I will be meeting up at some point in the near-ish future to do the exchange.  I'll also be throwing him a few questions about Starstuff so that we can all get a little bit more information on the show.  He has agreed to this and was actually enthusiastic about it.  I'll also be buying him a drink if he lets me :)  From my limited communication with him so far, he's very well-spoken and a truly nice guy.  What more could I have asked for?  To have the lead actor of the show I'm so glad to find material on actually contact me and thank not only myself but all of you for our support!

When this exchange happens and the 18 episodes are in my hands, my plan is to convert them to two different formats.  One will be onto CDs in MPG format (just like the episode 11 that I have now) and one will be to convert them into a DVD set.  The MPG format will be fairly easy and low-cost.  Shipping/materials/etc.  The DVD format is another story altogether as I do not have the equipment readily available to do this independently.  I'll be making the DVD edition for myself.  If anybody else would want it, there would have to be a pass-through fee.  I absolutely positively guarantee you that I would only charge you for whatever it costs me to do it.  I'll keep you all updated.  We're not there yet...

Can you believe it?  I almost can't, but this is all true!  I'm so happy to pass this information on to all of you, as I'm sure you're all just as elated as I am about this!

Todd has given me permission to release an email address for you all to contact him should you wish to.  He's a fairly busy guy, so don't expect immediate responses.  As I said, he's very appreciative of the support we've shown him and I'm sure he'd love to hear from you.  You can email him by clicking here.

Please check back for updates regularly!
